Introduction - California to Florida

This blog chronicles the journey of flying the Icon A5 from California to Florida. The Icon A5 is a revolutionary light sport aircraft built with a focus on safety and ease of flyability. Its amphibious nature means you can take off and land on either water or land. Since the wings fold in, the A5 is trailerable and portable.

With the help of the BMW design group, this plane has sexy lines and a sleek cock-pit design. The video here shows my demo flight where we did a water landing, water taxi and take-off. It will take 5 days to complete this cross country adventure so come back to this site for updates.
